School of Debate Culture

At the core of the museum’s work stands the School of Debate Culture, a unique and groundbreaking initiative aimed at addressing the growing need for respectful and productive dialogue in a polarized and inflamed world.

Our Vision

The museum aspires to be a space for nurturing meaningful dialogue, bridging gaps and building trust among people from all corners of society. The museum team does this through exhibitions, learning programs and events, and in the future with a unique social laboratory.

The activities are aimed at provoking a sense of urgency and necessity to adopt diversity and inclusion, and dialogue in Israeli society.

Identity card of the school

At the heart of the museum’s action is the School of Culture of Disagreement, a unique and groundbreaking initiative designed to address the growing need for respectful and productive discourse in a polarized and manipulated world.

The content that makes the difference

Day-study programs at the museum deal with:

An in-depth understanding and awareness of the Israeli social landscape regarding polarization and social, political and emotional rifts.

The contents deal with describing the phenomena that contribute to it, in social networks and the manipulations they deploy on us, in our personal and social identities and what happens to us in encountering the other and the different. From this understanding and awareness we bring tools and practicality for coping, the most significant among them is how to conduct oneself in disagreement effectively.

The museum places great importance on the intention to create value for you beyond participation in the standard study day and to evoke in you a sense of urgency that this is the time for personal responsibility and social involvement.

Learning perception

Significant learning stems from meaningful interaction, which induces transformation in emotion, thought and action over time. The content and active learning method at the school create new terminology and concepts on various topics, taught in an experiential, interactive manner, with self-reflection and reflective thinking that provokes thought.

The facilitators team

The School has experienced facilitators and is tailored to diverse target audiences, including integrating content from various seminar programs, in order to create a meaningful encounter that combines personal connection and awareness of central ideas and effective use of skills and tools beyond the day of the workshop.

Who is it for?

In the coming months we will expand activities to elementary schools, students and groups from the general public.
Participation can be chosen for one day, two days or three days in each area, and an integration between the fields deepens the experience and provides meaningful and practical tools to cope with the challenges of discourse and the digital space. Each day stands on its own, with no dependency between them, and the content is adapted for different target populations.
