Intergenerational Meeting: New Podcast in Collaboration with the Jerusalem Museum of Tolerance

February 12, 2026

Listen to a new podcast in collaboration with the Jerusalem Museum of Tolerance, creating a meaningful encounter between Holocaust survivors and survivors of the October 7 massacre with survivors of the October 7 attack. In the series, members of the older generation bring with them life experience and wisdom forged through confronting trauma, in conversation with the current generation about shared strength, memory, and resilience.

The intergenerational meeting featured in the podcast episodes was also central to an event held at the museum on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, where Holocaust survivors discussed the events with survivors of the October 7 attack. Participants included Chava Nissimov, a survivor of the Warsaw Ghetto, and her brother Malul, a survivor of the Nova attack; Tomy Shakham, a survivor of Auschwitz, and Avital Shinderler, a survivor of the terror attack in Kerem Shalom. During the evening, live musical performances were featured, including a joint rendition by captive survivor Alon Ahl and the singer-songwriter Shlomi Shaban.
